Introduction
Nigeria, the 3rd largest economy in Africa, with its over 150 million population, 36 states and FCT, has not only one of the fastest growing economy in the world, but also a very fast growing and active population. In the southern part of Nigeria, there are three geopolitical zones: the Southwest, South-south, and Southeast. The Southeast Geopolitical zone is made up of the states of Abia, Anambra, Imo, Enugu and Ebonyi states; collectively these states boost a population of 16.4 million. With a heavy population density, second only to the Lagos state. Incidentally, the Southeast is also home to various antisocial activities and vices, such as high crime rates, kidnapping, unemployment, female genital mutilation (40.8%), poverty 70%, and low illiteracy levels.
